A Message From the Principal--
OLM will be having an Open House on Sunday, January 29th, 2012 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm. This is the beginning of Catholic Schools Week, where all Catholic Schools celebrate their Catholic identity and invite the families who already know this and the ones who might be willing to experience this wonderful school for their children too! The news about the closing of 6 Catholic Elementary schools is sad, and Our Lady of Mercy Regional School would like to keep those students, teachers, and families involved in our prayers as we continue to show forward thinking with the inspiring teachers and exciting programs that are offered here. It is here at OLM the children will live the Mission Statement of the school and become happier, more productive adults who will better their communities and share the Spirit, by passing it on.
God bless!
~Mrs. L. DelGenio :)
A Message From The School Nurse
The cold and warmth of this time of year is cause for many types of colds and ailments. Make sure your children are properly hydrated all day. Water is the best defrense against germs. Clean hands frequently and do not share food or clothing items.
Lice prevention:
Sweaters, hats and gloves need to be cleaned frequently. Please be sure your children do not share head wear, such as headbands, hair clips, etc. or sports helmets, head gear, or face masks that have a strap that goes around the head. Dress up clothes are fun for younger children, but the possibility of lice infestation is always present, so it is wiser to keep the tiaras and crowns to your own child. Explain to them that sharing is fun, but things that go on your head are not shared. Make sure each child has their own, so you and your family can enjoy a stress free season.
